I grow up in a village, once that had no shopping malls, no F1 racing ground, no golf course, no swimming pools, no metro rails, no bowling & billiards association, no advertising clubs… Now, one by one all these facilities become alive just outside the doorstep.

I love free downloading of my favorite Heavy Metal tracks, Art & Copies, films, and eBooks because most of them are not available in the local stores. I have collected the forbidden photo album “Erotica” contains nude portraits of singing diva, Madonna; I read “The Satanic Verses” by Salman Rushdie. I am a giant fan of The Hulk, Lost Girls, Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Fantastic 4, Daredevil, Iron Man, Asterix, Tin Tin, Mamba Comics, Diamond Comics, Indrajal Comics, Stan Lee, Lee Falk, The Ghost Who Walks, Mandrake The Magician, Flash Gordon, Hergé, Watchmen, Shadow man, Chacha Chaudhary, Archie, Dynamite, Pinki, Nagraj and please add the titles that I missed to mention. I read, collect, gift, and sketch cartoons for my friends. The pathetic part is that I have read Shakespeare, Milton, Homer, The Ramayana, The Mahabharata, The Gita, The Quran, The White Tiger, The Old Testament, The New Testament, King James Bible, Sherlock Holmes, Oedipus Rex, Christopher Marlow, Gulliver’s Travels, Robinson Crusoe, Feluda, The God Of Small Things, T.S. Eliot, C. Dickens, Paulo Coelho…”
Then I come to stay in the hostel during the university; I was lucky that there is no one interested to talk about new medias [:P]. They are more mature. They introduce me with the identities like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit etc. I see, they are our ancestors? [: P] I understand a lot of Box Office and Bollywood within a few days. But I don’t know how people grow up without reading comics, playing video games, watching animations; no myspace, no flicker, no Youtube, no facebook…?
The environment of advertising will not be same that we are working today. H.G Wells sci-fi is yet to come alive. It is tough to imagine, but also impossible to stop animations, clones and robot science. Client, and consumer both are getting melancholic than your clever wife [:P]. What did Ogilvy say? Something like, “Your customer isn’t stupid, she’s your wife”. If only we’d learn. Today’s kids are rising up to rule the Muggle world of virtual reality using smart gadgets. Print and broadcasting media are losing the height to entertain future citizens. The traders are highly educated, aggressive, and the products are getting more scientific.
In smart shops products are coming directly from the world market; so many similar products, more competition, tough market and less advertising options. People are buying new products without looking at advertisement. They are reading product rappers, what they exactly want? Through new medias people are sharing their stories directly to the world. It is well-known that people unintentionally change TV channels during the commercial breaks. They start skipping Youtube ads, Facebook pages, and pushing electronic mails too.
Think about 2020, just a decade ahead and be ready to survive with qualities, modern science, and aggressive industrial needs. It is not that much easy to compete along with the creativity left in you! The old man is unable to get the inner voice of the teenagers growing up with the Ultimate Avengers, & the Justice League Of America.
