Hi friends, I am going to introduce you with another side of me. I am a passionate cook, hobbyist for last three years. It was a long story, when I first left home I use to eat outside then I started cooking. I love preparing my own delicious dishes in my own way. I myself a vegetarian for last 8 years. I prepare 35 most delicious vegetable Indian dishes.
This is an easy 15 minutes recipe, quick to prepare and very delicious!
Btw I am trying to use the English names for all of the items, any question please feel free to ask me. Thanks!
Ingredients:
200gm fresh white button mushrooms,
2 tsp olive oil,
1 small onion (finely chopped),
1 fresh red tomato, (chopped in pieces)
2 tsp ginger garlic paste,
2 green chili,
½ tsp zeera,
100gm chole or chickpeas (dip under fresh water at least for 8 hours before the main preparation),
½ tsp haldi or turmeric powder,
½ tsp salt,
½ tsp garam masala or aromatic blend of spices,
1 tablespoon butter,
50gm dahi or curd
Method:
Take 2 tsp of olive oil in a pan, fry chopped onion for a minute. When onions turn into reddish, add chopped tomatoes. Add garlic ginger paste, zeera and green chili. Fry well, then add chopped pieces of mushrooms, and chickpeas. Add turmeric powder, salt, and garam masala. Mix well. Garnish with butter, finally add curd and mix it well. Boil for 2 minutes and serve with toasted breads.
Its 15 minutes easy preparation and very tasty vegetable dish specially for vegetarians. Please send your feedback,
Happy meals
with love
Vikram
I like to make stuffed mushroom caps. I make a paste of chopped mushroom stems, Italian bread crumbs, finely chopped celery, butter, 1 egg and crab meat. Saute mushroom caps in olive oil 2 minutes, use spoon to put mixture into caps, sprinkle white cheese and bake 10 minutes.
Hi Carl, sounds delicious man but I am vege 😛 btw try this one, happy meals!
Thanks and big hugs!

I will try it and let you know how it turns out. I have my own version of that dish, but the mushrooms seem like a nice addition. I think “zeera” is cumin in English.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for all the other lovely blogs.
Andrée

*cumin instead of zeera and yogurt. Greek yogurt instead of curd
On January 1st I will be vegan for one year. Indian dishes have been a go to for me since this life-change. I had never tried them before. In fact I’d never even tried curry…..gasp! Now I’m a huge fan. I have not, however, endeavored to cook them myself. I may have to try now!
Yum!!! I’m so glad I found your blog (actually, I think you found mine!), and I enjoy you AT&T and your writing, but to get good Indian recipes from you, too…Heaven!! Can’t wait to try this!
Oops – autocorrect on my phone made the word “art” into “AT&T” – wierd!
Omg I am also a vegetarian and I love Indian food! I cannot wait to try it! Thanks! 🙂
I might have to try this!
Hi Sandee, waiting for your feedback, happy meal! 🙂
